Dharamkot is about 2k past McLeodGanj up a steep hill into the forest. It is a peaceful green place that looks out over McLeodGanj and Bhagsu with monkeys scampering around with nice cafes and clean mountain air. It is called little Israel as it is full of Israelis.
There are also lots of "alternative people, Europeans and these are the people I gravitate too so I feel instantly at home.
